Parent Information

Your children are an integral part of Live Oak.  In one way or another, they participate in the various clubs, organizations, and activities that Live Oak has to offer.  As parents, we can get involved with Live Oak as well and show our support for these groups and activities.  Please join us at the meetings for activities your child is involved with.  Everyone is welcome to attend any of the meetings:

Athletic Boosters

This is a parent organization that supports the students participating in the various sports offered throughout the school year.  They meet every 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm in the LO Library.

Band Boosters

This is a parent organization that supports the students participating in band and color guard.  They meet every 3rd Tuesday of each month at 8:00pm in the band room.


English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)

ELAC is a school-level committee comprised of parents and school staff designated to advise school officials on English learner programs and services. ELAC is also responsible for the following tasks:

●     Advising the principal and staff in the development of a site plan for English learners and submitting the plan to the School Site Council for consideration of inclusion in the School Plan for Student Achievement.

●     Assisting in the development of the schoolwide needs assessment.

●     Ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.

Live Oak ELAC meetings will take place in the library at 6:30pm on the following dates:

Comité Asesor de Aprendices de Inglés (ELAC)

ELAC es un comité de padres y personal escolar con la responsabilidad de dar recomendaciones a la administración escolar sobre servicios y programas para los aprendices del inglés. ELAC también es responsable de las siguientes tareas:

●     Aconsejar al director y personal escolar sobre el desarrollo de un plan para aprendices de inglés y someter ese plan al consejo directivo escolar para posible inclusión en el Plan escolar para el rendimiento (SPSA, por sus siglas en inglés).

●     Ayudar con el desarrollo de la encuesta sobre las necesidades de la escuela.

●     Maneras de informar a los padres de familia sobre la importancia de la asistencia escolar.

Las reuniones de ELAC en Live Oak se conducen principalmente en español. Serán en la biblioteca a las 6:30pm en las siguientes fechas:

Grad Night

The Grad Night Committee is a parent organization that organizes and coordinates each year’s Grad Night.  Grad Night is a safe and sober, all night, on campus celebration for our seniors.  The committee does not consist solely of parents of seniors.  All families are invited to participate as one day, your student will be a senior and your graduating seniors will want to enjoy the celebration of Live Oak’s Grad Night too.  They meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the LO Library.


The Home & School club is an organization that raises funds to support various educational programs and class needs.  They meet every first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the LO Library Conference Room.

MH FFA Alumni Association

To support the efforts of the agricultural program, the Morgan Hill FFA Alumni Association has been created. It is composed of Morgan Hill FFA Alumni, parents of current and past FFA members, community members and industry professionals. The group meetings are every first Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm in room 551.


The School Site Council is an organization that works with the staff to develop educational goals and oversees the development and implementation of a school plan.  They meet every 2nd Monday of each month at 9:15am in the LO Library.
