LIVE OAK SENIOR LAWN SIGN FUNDRAISER

The Live Oak Athletic Boosters Club is hosting a fundraiser to honor our seniors.  Please see their Facebook page for more information.  The fundraiser supports the Live Oak Athletic Boosters Senior Athletic Scholarships.  Purchase a lawn sign are $20 each; payment due at time of order.  All orders due May 17, 2020.  Click here to place your order.  Estimated no-contact delivery of your signs is last week of May.  Honor your senior and purchase your sign today!

SENIOR RAFFLE WINNERS

Thank you to all that supported and participated in LO Safe & Sober Grad Night’s Senior Raffle.  The drawing was held last April 15th; click here to view the winners.  Congratulations to senior, Hunter White, for selling the most tickets and winning the $100 Amazon Gift Card. 

NEWS FROM THE LIVE OAK NUTS & BOLTS ROBOTICS TEAM

ADOPT A LIVE OAK HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR

Please help honor our local high school seniors by “Adopting one.”  They have lost so much during Shelter in Place – Prom, Disneyland trip, award ceremonies, spring sports, band, drama, clubs, dances, LO Grad Night, and a real (not virtual) graduation.  Click here to learn more and go to a group Facebook page that provides a place to come together and celebrate the high school seniors of Morgan Hill. 

MAY 4, 11, 18, 26 – GRAB-N-GO MONDAYS

Pick up 5 days of breakfasts and lunches for each member of your family.  In order to meet the increasing demand, we’re shifting from El Toro Elementary School to Live Oak High School.  Meals will be found in the staff parking  lot on Mondays, May 4, 11, 18, and 26 from 11am to 1pm.  Click here for more information.

MAY 12 – ANNUAL GREEN AND GOLD AWARDS

The annual Green and Gold Awards ceremony will take place virtually on Tuesday, May 12, at 7pm. Students receiving an award have been notified and will receive a link to view the ceremony.  The awards ceremony will be posted to the school website after the event.

MAY 19 – LIVE OAK EMERALD REGIME MEETING

There will be a LOER band meeting hosted on Zoom on Tuesday, May 19, at 6:30pm.  See the Band Boosters 2019 Facebook for details.  We are still planning for Fall marching.

NEWS FOR SENIORS AND THEIR PARENTS

·        Caps and Gowns:  We are still awaiting the arrival of these items and are planning their distribution for when they arrive.  Stay tuned for more direction.  Tentative distribution and senior check out will be on June 1st and 2nd.

·        May 21 - Senior Awards Night:  Senior Awards Night will be held virtually on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 7pm.  Stay tuned for link information.

·        May 26-28 – Senior Finals:  Senior finals will occur May 26, 27, and 28 and will follow the period schedule of the MHUSD Flexible Learning Plan.  Individual teachers will notify and communicate expectations and directions for finals.

·        June 5 – Live Oak Virtual Graduation:  Live Oak’s virtual graduation will be held virtually on Friday, June 5th at 2pm.  Both site and district are working on a virtual graduation as part of honoring the Class of 2020.  All elements of the traditional graduation will be included (ie. Speeches, pledge, etc.).  Stay tuned for link information to view the graduation.
