School Site Council

The Live Oak School Site Council (SSC) is a committee of parents, students, and school staff members with responsibilities to:

  • Work with the staff to develop school goals
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a school plan
  • Insure compliance with categorical programs such as GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) or LEP (Limited-English Proficient)
  • Approve budgets through the Consolidated School Plan
  • Approve school’s staff development plans
  • Oversee budget decisions related to special state funds
  • Monitor program performance
  • Monitor the school improvement process

If you would like to run for a seat on the School Site Council, please complete a SSC Application and return it to the Live Oak office no later than the day before Back to School Night.
