NEWS FOR SENIORS AND THEIR PARENTS

  • Grad Night Fundraising with GoFundMe –Although the Senior Raffle (see above for info on results) raised just over $10,000, we are still well short of what we need to fund Grad Night.  We need your help!  Click here to help Grad Night with a donation, no matter how big or small.  Our goal is to raise $10,000. Share the link with your friends, family, and coworkers!
  • Caps and Gowns – These must now be purchased online at https://www.herffjones.com/.  Cost is $50.
  • Apr 5:Graduation Announcements Pick-up – Please pick up your order at ASB Office during brunch or lunch.
  • Apr 5:  Deadline to Purchase Universal Studios Tickets –CThis Friday is the last day to purchase tickets for the Universal Studio Trip on May 31.  Click here for a permission form or pick one up at the ASB Office.  The form should be turned into the Attendance Office after they are signed by your parents. Remember, Friday is the deadline for purchase, so turn in by Thursday.to give the Attendance Office time to process.
  • May 10: Deadline for Lei Orders:  Purchase a beautiful lei for your graduate to celebrate their special occasion!  Click here for an order form or pick one up at the ASB Office.   Orders must be received by Friday, May 10, 3:30pm.  Payments (if by check, made payable to LOSSGN) can be dropped off at the ASB office or mailed to Live Oak Grad Night, PO Box 26, San Martin, CA  95046.
  • Preferred Parking on Graduation Day – Passes for preferred parking will be on sale soon for $25 a space.  Preferred parking is located in the Student Parking Lot and includes spaces in front of the tennis courts and extend to the football field.  There will be a limited number of spaces,  NOTE:  There will be several slots in Preferred Parking reserved as disabled parking for those with the proper DMV tags; a golf cart will be available to shuttle guests that park in these slots.  Cost is $25 per parking space.  There will be disabled parking available in the Staff Parking Lot, however they ARE NOT ‘Preferred Parking’, therefore open to the general public.

  • May 31: Universal Studios Hollywood Trip – More details on the trip to follow.
  • California Community College Promise – California offers eligible California residents the California College Promise Grant, which covers the cost of tuition.  For eligibility requirements, online application, and information about California community colleges, click here.  If you do not see your community college on the list of online applications, call the college directly.
  • Financial Aid:  Apply for financial aid to help pay for your college.  Completing the FAFSA form is free; deadline to complete the FAFSA is June 30.  Also, scholarships are offered year-round so check out Naviance for scholarship information or do your research online. 
  • College Visits:  April 4 & 18 – Evergreen Valley Community College – Evergreen Valley Community College is visiting our campus on April 4th and April 18th during 6th period for a two part application and orientation workshop. Please sign up via Naviance to receive a pass to attend the workshops. Students who successfully complete both workshops will receive priority registration for Evergreen Valley Community College. Last day to register is April 2nd.
